Homework Reflection

My creation was a chocolate cake that i made, it was really fun to make because i did it with my brother.

The most interesting thing doing my homework was doing it with my brother. The trickiest part of making the cake was cutting it off the pan that i used. If i did it again i would cut it in half and put cream in the middle.

I'm proud of my creation because everyone liked it and they wanted more. The most important thing i learnt was to not keep it in the oven to long. If i set a goal after making it my goal would be to make a double Decker chocolate cake. Here is a picture of a chocolate cake.

First we had to plan our drawing in our book and try blend 4 colours together.

Then we had to draw a huge one in our book then we had to grab a big piece of paper and do our real copy of the one that we did in our book. After that we had to colour our koru in and blend the colours together to give it a colour boost then we had to colour our background in. Here is a picture of my koru!

Creative Homework!

One week we had to do this homework that our teacher made it was called creative homework you could make or do anything you wanted and you had to bring it in i made a chocolate cake and i have a PowerPoint on it sadly it wouldn't come on so i had to delete it but i made it at home all by myself and it was really fun and i liked it here is a photo of chocolate cake:

Camp!

I'm gonna tell about my 5 minute moment not necessarily a good moment but a bad one it could be here it is i write it on a document:

 I’m playing in goal for soccer the ball is coming towards me, the year 6’s are trying to defend. They are trying to get the ball up the other end of the gym.

I’m shivering in the goal, the year 5’s get past us they shoot the ball into the goal but instead it hits my eye at full speed. I had to sit out because it hurt so much.

I went up to the first aid room and got some ice in my hand and put it on my eye it was really cold. The smell of dinner being cooked made the blood in my mouth become stronger, every step i took to the dining room.

Mrs Court sat me down and told me to just sit there for a little while.  When she came back we went back in the first aid room.

She let me go and play soccer for the rest of the time until the hooter went.

Maths

Maths

Today we have been learning about proportion's in maths and we had to sort out the people that were and were not able to whistle we had to work in groups of three and the teacher came around and recorded us telling her about what we did to display our data that we found.

No one knew what interpret the data meant but at the end of maths we all knew what interpret the data meant so we all had to write what we learnt about it but the bell went for morning tea.

This is my pmi about my camp experience in 2014.

Afl Experience

In afl we learnt how to play afl and we got to play a game of afl it was really fun cause at the start we had to learn all of the techniques and then at the end of afl we played a full game with out tackling cause we are just school kids and our school doesn't allow tackle rugby.

It is really fun cause we get to play with our friends.

Sylvia coming to Visit!

On  the 8th of April 2014 Sylvia the bird lady came to visit us and talk about the parapara tree and she brang in some birds that have just been rescued and some that have been with her for a long time.

She also brang in a sheet that is full of photos and information on birds, The birds she brang in were the Morepork, Penguin and all of these other really cool birds.

I learnt new things about birds and i think i want to help her by bringing in stuff like old towels and stuff like that. It was a really cool experience seeing all of the birds, This is a picture of a morepork and a movie link.

Hi my name is Matthew i'm ten years old, i live in New Zealand. I go to Torbay School and my teacher is Mrs Kilkoly. I have a mum a dad a brother a cat and lots of friends New Zealand is a place full of wonder and interesting things. I hope you have a amazing time looking and learning everything on my site i'm a year 6 and going to leave Torbay School this year i'm going to Northcross Intermediate next year.
