Inquiry Reflection

It all starts off when we had to plan our Invention Oscar and i decided to make a Snack Packed Chair- INVENTION DAY on Invention day we had to finish off our invention by making it advertising it and even working out how much it costs to make and the profit and how much money we want from them and the percent they will get. On the day of showing the dragons our Product we felt really good in the end we got through to meet the dragons in Room 7 ! It was hard, finally the day came when we had to step up to the dragons we felt scared and tormented but we did it we got no money we had failed.

My Most Enjoyable part was explaining our invention to the Dragons.

The hardest part was working out everything with the profit.

If i was to do this again i would change everything because it was unhealthy and we can do a better Job.

I have learned how to work out profit and business planing and GST.

The most scariest moment was hearing the questions and answering them.

The Most boring part was waiting till morning tea time.

The most embarrassing part was getting 6 NO’S from the dragon’s D:

I felt good talking to the dragons because i knew what i was talking about.

The most breathtaking moment was standing up to the questions we didn't know the answer to.

This term our Inquiry is about Buggys/Prams/Strollers. We have been collecting up data from parents with buggy's. Soon we will be designing our own buggy's and some of us have started that task. Our next steps are to write a list of all the things we have to Consider in our design.

A Scatter Plot is a Graph that shows your Results that you collected up in the thing you were doing.

PANGRAMS!

A Pangram is all of the Letters in the English alphabet in one big sentence or paragraph. Here is 2 examples of Pangram's one of them is the one i did by myself and one is with a buddy. The one about the whale is the one in a group.

The quick blue whale swam through the tunnel of the jumping lazy fox then came along the deep sea shark, then the vase got smashed in the coral.

The teacher told me to keep my working high and strive for the best, and do your v’s neater in my handwriting.  A queue of people were waiting to look at my art work. The juniors were loving my football skills. I had to have an x-ray when i broke my ankle. Z’s are very easy to write in my handwriting.

First Week Back To School!

First day as usual Writing Reading :o Crt and Calender Art!! COOL! I think i might of misunderstood the logo of "Schools Fun" Cause it is! Second day, we get this new maths thing about MONEY! Journal ! :D

The Trees encrusted in frostbite snow, the ground crumbling beneath the trees wrinkly roots. The mist scattered around the spikey tree tops, all was silent except for 4 teenage boys having a gamble in the frostbite winds. Jack got up and trampled his way around the spring like leaves but he tripped and found what had gone missing long ago… The city's flag pole which had been missing for quite a long time. But nobody knew who had taken it from the city’s center. But behind that was, was a metal fence encrusted with rust. Jack called for the other teenagers with all what was left of his mighty soul. They came darting down the hill like a bullet out of a gun but they came to a halt when they saw the figure of a building in front of their frozen eyes.

They stood for a while not moving a muscle, Jack and his friends felt unwelcome but they still took the fear that awaits them behind the frozen fence. They climbed up the encrusted fence and fell down onto the other side it looked abandoned, fragmented it was. What could of happened here, a wave of frostbite winds came rushing through the powerplant which echoed off the decaying wood of the fragmented buildings. They decided to walk through to the middle if the structure but found what they were hoping not to find. A man stood at the end of the power plant with a ebony black cloak encrusted with blood of the people that had died in here before. Jack stood staring at the man but looked away and then looked back, but he wasn’t there where would he have gone. Jack ran off to safety in one of the buildings but was it safe or was it not… His friends became curious of where Jack was, he didn’t come out for a long time infact he never even came out. So they walked over to the building their soft skin tremblin, they were so frightened that Jay passed out. They got up to the door the floorboards creaking every step of the way, the door creaked open carefully but it was too late what had got Jack, he was hung with a rope tied around his neck attached to the roof, cockroaches scattered all around his decaying body. Flinn dashed out of the decaying building, leaving his soul behind he muttered to himself saying “Gotta find a building thats safe” Then he found one with flower hanging down from the windows. All polished, but was it a bit too suspicious or was it not…? When he got in there he saw the same man that was standing at the end of the power plant, the man spoke “Bye Bye” And sliced his head off with his Razor Sharp blade, then the man disappeared into dust, but he popped up in another room waiting for his next victim.

Storm got up from his slumber and had forgotten everything that he had been through, He became a bit dizzy and walked into the room with that same man in it and dropped dead to the floor without the man having to even touch him. Jay was still staring at Jack’s decaying body but he knew one thing he had to get out of there. bolted out of the room, his feet were so strong the whole building came crashing down making a thundering noise like a lightning bolt hitting metal. Jay ran for it this was his only chance, but he slipped and fell onto the ground with the man gaining speed. But Jay got up from the fall feeling a little clumsy but just couldn't run…

Jay got lucky, the man tripped and revealed his identity but Jay didn’t care he just wanted to get out of there with all of his body parts still in place. He got up and sprinted to the entrance could he make it? He dived down under the rust encrusted fence, he crawled under the fence clinging onto him, the man was right behind him and pulled the fence down, Jay ran for it he could see a clearing in the distance. His mum popped out 0f the side of the tree and put her bulging arm out, the man smashed his jaw on it and fell to the ground, with all of his teeth crumbling out. Jay and his mom felt the joy in being together, he and his mom decided to have a Scrumshus Cookie with a steaming Hot, Hot Chocolate.

BOOK WEEK PARADE!

On Friday The 19th Of September Torbay School had a book week parade and we all had to come as a character out of our favorite books, i came as papa smurf i thought i looked very realistic. My friend Oscar came as GOOFY! And My friend Adam came as Mr Stink off Mr Stink The Book. Gabe came as MAN HATER he looked so LIKE HIM it was crazy! But everyone got Scared because he had the shade and the black with the freaky hat with all the other features.

Describe the locations of the school, park and Waiake Beach

Torbay School is in the Middle of deep creek road.

Deep Creek Reserve is to the right side of the sidewalk when you drive by, it is down in the big ditch of the road.

Waiake beach is located right in front of the reserve ad can reach it if you drive down from the torbay shops.

With a piece of string measure the distance - using the scale to work out the distance. Explain your findings of the below, on a new document.

1. Torbay School and Torbay Kindergarten -  Torbay School is 7 km away From Torbay Kindergarten.
2. Torbay School to Waiake Beach -  Torbay School is 6 km away from Waiake Beach.

PMI - Our Term 2 Learning

POSITIVE	MINUS	INTERESTING
We went to lactic turkey. We did squash and it was really fun. We got to stay at school while a storm was happening. We got to see a lightning bolt strike down. Me and oscar got the highest score in squash. I was the king of the squash court. I got to have a great time with my friends. By Matthew we learnt art from Hundertwasser how to do art like Hundertwasser from Yuji when i started blog, squash, pow toon, interschool cross country, and normal cross country. by Jasmine Jamie Oliver day by Kaitlyn i loved doing squash. Art about hundertwasser. we had inter cross country, cross country and inter swimming. by Jasmine Lactic turkey was awesome by Kaitlyn We have been learning about capacity in our table groups and by using measuring cups Getting library books Squash Jamie Oliver Day By Stella   I  went to rippa rugby and we won the hole thing and now we are going to the championship BY Kahu                                                                                                                       we have been lerning about wich cup can      hold the most water.and we did the milk jug and it held the most water.                           from jason. We also had Interschool cross country and that was really hard. We had a gigantic storm. We had to practice for cross country all the time. I got really muddy.
